Arlene Caban-Pocai, PhD graduated from Yeshiva University and has been licensed to practice for over 10 years, providing mental health treatment for individuals, couples, and groups. She has a subspecialty in health psychology and is interested in the interconnectedness of mind and body and its impact on quality of life, health, and wellness. Dr. Caban-Pocai has conducted research and has been published extensively in the areas of diabetes and weight management. She also has experience helping individuals living with cancer, obesity, food allergies, and asthma. She speaks Spanish, is somewhat proficient in Italian, and has worked with a variety of different racial and ethnic minority groups, viewing diversity, culture, environment, and one’s belief system as integral parts of holistic health.
